A book launch will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake for author Sara Broers’ book, “100 Things to Do in Iowa Before You Die.”

Broers tells decorahnews.com that she drove the scenic highways of Iowa during the COVID-19 surge in the spring of 2020 and then woke up one night more than a year later and realized, “I need to write this book!” She had planned to take three weeks off early that fall to write the book, but both of her parents came down with COVID, so she wound up writing the book with just five days to go until the publisher’s deadline.
